How to envision, create, and sustain a just, joyful future — connected to The Heartline’s vision of collective hope and belonging.
Goal: To reflect on the foundational values that guide your utopia’s culture and choices.
Example values and expressions:
Spend 5-10 minutes making your own list.
Goal: Paint a vivid picture of the ideal society you want to help build.
Prompts:
Example:
“In my utopia, communities live in harmony with nature, sharing resources freely. Education nurtures curiosity and empathy, and people gather often for celebration and storytelling. There’s no fear of discrimination or scarcity.”
Exercise:
Spend 5-10 min writing a paragraph or draw a scene describing your utopian world.
Goal: To come up with practical ideas and solutions for how your vision could become a reality.
To make things more easy it can help to work on three different Scales and then think about how they relate to each other and how they work differently.
Exercise: Pick one scale and brainstorm. Choose a system you want to work with (e.g education). Then, spend 10 minutes picturing how it would look on the Scale you chose and maybe how it relates to the other scales.
